Constitution of the World Subak Federation

Ch.01

General Provisions

Article 1 (Name)

This federation shall be called the “World Subak Federation” (hereinafter referred to as the “Federation”), and its English name shall be “World Subak Federation (WSF).”

Article 2 (Purpose)

The Federation aims to research, preserve, educate, internationally promote, and culturally safeguard Subak, a traditional Korean martial art.

Article 3 (Activities)

The Federation shall conduct the following activities:

  • Investigation and research of Subak
  • Education and training of Subak instructors
  • Domestic and international demonstrations and exchange activities
  • Publication of academic and audiovisual materials
  • International promotion and establishment of overseas networks
  • Organization of seminars, workshops, and competitions
  • Operation of certification and training systems
  • Other activities necessary to fulfill the objectives of the Federation

Article 4 (Headquarters)

The headquarters of the Federation shall be located in Busan, Republic of Korea.

Ch.02

Membership

Article 5 (Classification of Members)

Members shall be classified as follows:

  • Regular Members
  • Instructor Members
  • Overseas Members
  • Honorary Members
  • Organizational Members

Article 6 (Eligibility)

Any person who agrees with the objectives of the Federation and supports the preservation and development of Subak may become a member.

Article 7 (Rights of Members)

Members shall have the following rights:

  • Participation in Federation activities
  • Participation in education and events
  • Application for certification examinations
  • Access to materials and information
  • Other rights determined by the Federation

Article 8 (Duties of Members)

Members shall have the following duties:

  • Compliance with Federation regulations
  • Protection of the honor and reputation of the Federation
  • Payment of membership fees and other required contributions
  • Respect for the spirit of preserving traditional culture
Ch.03

Organization

Article 9 (Officers)

The Federation shall have the following officers:

  • President
  • Chairman
  • Vice Chairman
  • Secretary General
  • Directors
  • Auditor

Article 10 (President)

The President shall represent the Federation and oversee major policy directions and international relations.

Article 11 (Chairman)

The Chairman shall oversee the operation and administration of the Federation.

Article 12 (Secretary General)

The Secretary General shall manage practical and administrative affairs.

Ch.04

Meetings

Article 13 (General Assembly)

The General Assembly shall consist of Regular Assemblies and Extraordinary Assemblies.

Article 14 (Resolution)

Resolutions of the General Assembly shall be passed by a majority vote of attending members.

Article 15 (Extraordinary Assembly)

An Extraordinary Assembly may be convened under the following circumstances:

  • When deemed necessary by the Chairman
  • Upon request by a majority of officers
  • Upon request by a designated number of members
Ch.05

Training and Certification

Article 16 (Training System)

The Federation may operate training levels and instructional systems.

Article 17 (Certification)

The Federation may examine and certify instructors and practitioners.

Article 18 (Education)

The Federation may organize seminars, workshops, demonstrations, and educational programs.

Ch.06

International Exchange

Article 19 (International Activities)

The Federation may promote international exchange and establish overseas networks.

Article 20 (Overseas Branches)

The Federation may establish overseas branches or international cooperative organizations when necessary.

Ch.07

Finance

Article 21 (Finance)

The Federation’s finances shall consist of the following:

  • Membership fees
  • Sponsorship and donations
  • Revenue from education and events
  • Revenue from publications and contents
  • Other income

Article 22 (Accounting)

The Federation shall maintain transparency in financial operations.

Ch.08

Supplementary Provisions

Article 23 (Amendment of Constitution)

Amendments to this Constitution shall be implemented through resolutions of the General Assembly.

Article 24 (Enforcement)

This Constitution shall take effect from the date of enactment.

Addendum

  1. This Constitution shall serve as the basic operational principles of the Korean Subak Association.
  2. Detailed operational regulations may be established separately.
